WG Foundation to Auction Fishing Trip At Annual Meeting
Feeling lucky? Western Growers Foundation will auction off a four-day, five-night British Columbia fishing adventure package for two at the Award Dinner Nov. 8 at the 86th Annual Meeting in San Diego. Also a part of the Award Dinner, attendees can bid on a legendary dinner weekend themed “On the Red Carpet” set for fall 2012 at WG member Edwin and Kaye Camp’s home. Proceeds from the auctions will benefit Western Growers Foundation.

WG Works to Limit Shipper Fines Under New Regs
Western Growers, along with an industry coalition, submitted comments opposing proposed California Air Resources Board regulations that would make a California shipper liable for ensuring a carrier’s transport refrigeration unit complies with all board regulations. WG staff has had several meetings and conversations with the board in an effort to limit any shipper exposure or fines resulting from carrier non-compliance.
